Live Scoreboard is a Chrome extension provided by Jersey Publishers. This Privacy Policy explains how Live Scoreboard version 3.6.0 handles information when you use the extension.
What Live Scoreboard Does
Live Scoreboard provides soccer scores, favorite-team views, match reminders, pinned matches, spoiler mode, bracket tracking, language options, and visual personalization inside Chrome.
Information Stored Locally
Live Scoreboard stores the following settings locally in Chrome on your device:
- Favorite team IDs and setup completion status
- Watched and saved match IDs
- Pinned match and selected event preferences
- Selected language and interface theme
- Icon-style preferences
- Reminder settings and notification state
- Spoiler-mode preference
- Cached score data used for fallback display during score-feed outages
This information is used only to provide and remember the features you choose. Live Scoreboard does not create user accounts and does not upload these preferences to Jersey Publishers.
Information We Do Not Collect
Live Scoreboard does not collect, sell, share, or transmit:
- Browsing history
- Website content
- Search history
- Cookies
- Passwords
- Form entries
- Emails, chats, or personal communications
- Financial or payment information
- Precise location information
- Advertising identifiers
- In-extension analytics data
Live Scoreboard does not include advertisements, tracking pixels, remote analytics SDKs, subscriptions, checkout flows, or in-app purchases.
Score Data and Network Requests
Live Scoreboard requests public soccer match data from OpenLigaDB at:
https://api.openligadb.de/getmatchdata/wm26/2026
This request is used only to display live and upcoming match data, bracket progress, and match status in the extension.
The extension does not attach your favorite teams, watched matches, reminder settings, spoiler settings, language, themes, icon preferences, browsing activity, or website content to score-data requests. Like other internet requests, the score-data provider may receive standard technical information, such as an IP address and browser user-agent, under its own privacy practices.
OpenLigaDB data is used under the Open Database License (ODbL). The extension also includes a local schedule fallback based on OpenFootball’s public-domain/CC0 data. This fallback does not create an additional network request.
Chrome Permissions
Live Scoreboard uses the following permissions:
- Storage: saves your chosen settings locally in Chrome.
- Side panel: opens the Live Scoreboard interface in Chrome’s side panel.
- Alarms: refreshes score data and checks optional reminder timing.
- Notifications: displays optional match reminders.
- OpenLigaDB host access: retrieves public soccer match data.
Live Scoreboard does not use content scripts and does not request permission to read or change websites you visit.
Data Sharing and Sale
Jersey Publishers does not sell, rent, transfer, or share your locally stored extension preferences with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Live Scoreboard does not use personal information for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your preferences and cached score data remain in Chrome storage until they are changed, you clear the extension’s data, or you uninstall Live Scoreboard. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored extension data through Chrome’s normal removal process.
Children
Live Scoreboard is a general-audience sports utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-Party Links
The Live Scoreboard website and extension may link to third-party services, including the Chrome Web Store, OpenLigaDB, OpenFootball, and sharing destinations selected by you. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
Live Scoreboard’s handling of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Any locally stored information is used only to provide the extension’s disclosed features.
Changes to This Policy
If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
